Avenged Sevenfold Rock JIS

Avenged Sevenfold rocked JIS on Saturday (10/10/2026). The American heavy metal band stormed the Jakarta International Stadium in a concert titled Asia Tour 2026 Live in Indonesia, promoted by Ravel Entertainment.

From the moment the opening intro echoed, cheers filled the stadium. M. Shadows and company took the Deathbats — the nickname for A7X fans — on a journey through the band's musical eras in a night full of nostalgia and surprises.

The concert marked Avenged Sevenfold's return to Indonesia after their last appearance at Stadion Madya Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on 25 May 2024.

12-Meter Stage Tongue and Flame Effects

One of the concert's main attractions was the specially built 12-meter stage tongue. The structure was designed to expand the band's performance area while bringing the experience closer to the audience.

Beyond the stage, flame burst effects were prepared at the direct request of the Avenged Sevenfold members. Ravel Entertainment Production Manager Ryan confirmed the element was personally requested by the band.

"For our Indonesian friends, one thing is certain: we have special effects, a bit of fire. That was a request from the personnel," Ryan said. The Jakarta show's scale was also special thanks to JIS's larger capacity compared to several other venues on A7X's Asian tour, with potential for up to 45,000 spectators.

Isyana Sarasvati and St. Loco as Openers

Isyana Sarasvati and St. Loco performed as opening acts specifically requested by Avenged Sevenfold. The two Indonesian musicians brought together the colors of the local alternative scene with A7X's heavy metal on one stadium stage.

Setlist-wise, A7X opened with Nightmare, then took fans down memory lane with numbers like Afterlife, Shepherd of Fire, So Far Away and Dear God. A surprise came through the song M.I.A, which sent the crowd into a frenzy.

M. Shadows' interaction also warmed the atmosphere, from chatting about the possibility of touring other Indonesian cities to helping a fan announce a gender reveal from the stage.
