"Cek Bansos" Surges: The Facts on BLT Kesra 2026

The keyword "cek bansos" (bansos check) surged on Google Trends Indonesia on Wednesday (10/14/2026), with more than 10,000 searches in just two hours. Thousands of Indonesians are seeking certainty: will the Rp900,000 People's Welfare Cash Assistance (BLT Kesra) be disbursed again this year?

The fact is that the government has already confirmed BLT Kesra was a temporary stimulus program that officially ended on December 31, 2025. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated the program will not continue in 2026.

In 2025, BLT Kesra was distributed from October through December to households in deciles 1 to 4 under the National Single Social Economic Data (DTSEN), at Rp300,000 per month or Rp900,000 for three months. Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf said the disbursement reached more than 28 million beneficiary families through Bank Himbara and PT Pos Indonesia.

Beware of Fake Registration Links

Amid the uncertainty, registration links for BLT Kesra have circulated, asking for personal data and even Telegram verification codes. Kompas.com's fact-check team declared that the September 2026 BLT Kesra registration links circulating on social media are a hoax, while the Ministry of Communication and Digital stated in April 2026 that similar claims online were untrue.

The public is urged not to enter data through links of unclear origin, as the scheme could be used to steal personal data and hijack user accounts.

How to Check Bansos Officially via Kemensos

The Ministry of Social Affairs provides two official channels for checking social assistance status. First, through the site cekbansos.kemensos.go.id: enter your domicile region from province down to village, the beneficiary's name as on the ID card (KTP), the 16-digit national ID number (NIK), then enter the captcha and click Cari Data (Search Data).

Second, through the Cek Bansos app, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Create an account with your NIK and family card number, then choose the Cek Bansos menu to view your beneficiary status and decile group.

Those who feel eligible but are not listed can have their data proposed through their local village or subdistrict officials for inclusion in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

Replacement Programs Still Running in 2026

The end of BLT Kesra does not mean social assistance is over. The government confirms several regular programs continue in 2026, including the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP), and Village Fund Cash Assistance (BLT Dana Desa).

The public is advised to always refer to official information from the Ministry of Social Affairs or local governments to avoid being misled by unconfirmed claims.
