Global Gold Slips, Still Above US$4,000
On international markets, spot gold closed 0.4% lower at US$4,155.1 per troy ounce in the previous session. Despite the decline, the global gold price remained above the psychological US$4,000 per troy ounce level.
Fresh news from the United States reportedly eased the correction so the decline was not too deep. Global gold movements typically guide the direction of domestic gold prices, including Antam's Logam Mulia products.
For buyers, taxes apply on top of the selling and buyback prices. Under Finance Ministry Regulation (PMK) No. 34 of 2017, gold bar purchases are subject to Income Tax Article 22 of 0.9%, or 0.45% for buyers who provide a tax ID number (NPWP).
