Check Your Electricity Bill Without Queuing

Postpaid electricity customers no longer need to visit a payment counter to see the current month's bill. PLN provides various digital channels — from the official app and website to WhatsApp and SMS — that display the bill amount just by entering the customer ID number.

Simply prepare the customer ID (IDPEL) or meter number printed on a previous electricity bill or payment receipt. Here are the channels you can use.

How to Check via PLN Mobile

Download the PLN Mobile app from the Google Play Store or App Store, then register by filling in your name, mobile number, email, and password. After logging in, choose the “Token dan Pembayaran” (Token and Payment) or “Informasi Tagihan dan Token Listrik” (Bill and Token Information) menu.

Enter the customer ID number or select a saved ID. The system immediately shows the current month's bill amount, usage period, paid-or-unpaid status, and payment history. Saved customer IDs make future checks easier, and the app also shows bill notifications.

To pay right away, select the bill, tap “Pilih Tagihan” (Select Bill), review the details, then “Lanjutkan Pembayaran” (Continue Payment) with an available method: bank virtual account, debit card, digital wallet, or credit card.

How to Check via Website, WhatsApp, and SMS

Without the app, open web.pln.co.id or layanan.pln.co.id in a browser. Click the “Pelanggan” (Customer) menu, choose “Informasi Tagihan dan Token Listrik”, enter the customer ID correctly, click “Cari” (Search), and the bill details appear.

Via WhatsApp: save the number 08122-123-123, send “Halo”, follow the bot's instructions, then enter the customer ID. Via SMS: type “REK <space> customer ID number” and send it to 8123 — the reply contains the current month's bill info. Another alternative: call the PLN call center at 123 and give the operator your customer ID.

Marketplaces and e-wallets such as Tokopedia, Shopee, Bukalapak, DANA, and Gojek also have electricity-bill menus: enter the customer ID and the system shows the bill, which can be paid directly on the platform.

Pay On Time to Avoid Fines

PLN sends bill notifications before the 20th of each month. Paying before the due date matters to avoid late fines and the risk of disconnection.

Make bill-checking a monthly routine — for example at the start of each month — and use the saved-customer-ID feature in PLN Mobile so the process takes only seconds. Managing routine bills like this is an important part of household financial management.
