POCO F9 Pro vs F9 Ultra: Different Chipsets and Prices
The POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra both arrive in Indonesia as flagships, with no standard variant this year. Both bring 185Hz displays, 200MP main cameras, and the VisionBoost D8 graphics chip — but there are key differences that decide which one is worth buying.
Under the hood, the F9 Pro uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, a variant with reduced GPU shaders and cache, so its graphics power falls short of the standard version inside the F9 Ultra. Both are paired with the VisionBoost D8 chip, which enhances image detail with AI technology, claimed to run games at up to 185 fps thanks to frame interpolation.
Memory configurations also differ: the F9 Pro comes in a single 12 GB/512 GB variant at IDR 12,499,000, while the F9 Ultra uses 16 GB/512 GB at IDR 13,999,000. During the October 6-15, 2026 early-access period, both were discounted to IDR 10,499,000 for the F9 Pro and IDR 12,499,000 for the F9 Ultra.

Display, Battery, Camera, and Audio Compared
On displays, the F9 Pro uses a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel at 2510×1156 resolution, while the F9 Ultra is larger with a 6.9-inch AMOLED at 2608×1200. Both support up to 185Hz refresh rate. With different physical sizes come different batteries: the F9 Ultra packs an 8,050 mAh silicon-carbon cell, far bigger than the F9 Pro's 6,330 mAh. Charging capability is identical: 100W wired and 50W wireless.
For cameras, both rely on a 200MP OIS main sensor. The difference is in the telephoto: the F9 Pro uses a floating 50MP telephoto with 2.5x optical zoom, while the F9 Ultra uses a 50MP periscope with 5x optical zoom. The F9 Pro's ultra-wide camera is only 8MP, versus 50MP on the F9 Ultra. Both have identical 32MP front cameras.
The F9 Ultra also leads in audio with Bose stereo boosted by an independent subwoofer, a Dynamic Light element on the rear body, and IP68 certification. The F9 Pro is IP68 certified as well.
Which One Is Worth Buying?
So, which one is worth buying? The POCO F9 Ultra is the choice for users who want the most complete capabilities from the F Series: the full chipset, an 8,050 mAh battery, a 6.9-inch display, a 5x periscope camera, 2.1-channel audio, and 16 GB of RAM.
The POCO F9 Pro, meanwhile, is more appealing to users who want most of that flagship DNA in a more compact device at a lower price. With its 6.59-inch 185Hz display, 6,330 mAh battery, 200MP camera, and 2.5x telephoto, the F9 Pro still carries flagship-class specs with a IDR 1.5 million price gap.
