Raline Shah Resigns as Minister's Special Staff

Raline Shah has resigned as Special Staff to Indonesia's Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) for Global Partnerships and Digital Education. The resignation of the actress known for the films 5 cm and 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa took effect on Tuesday (13/10/2026).

Raline announced the decision through a press release on Tuesday night and via her official Instagram account on Wednesday (14/10). Her tenure of about one year and nine months, which began in January 2025, has thus come to an end.

Raline explained the move followed consideration of her growing personal and professional commitments, including continuing her career in the entertainment industry. She said her other busy schedules and commitments were no longer aligned with her duties as special staff.

Why Raline Shah Stepped Down

In her statement, Raline expressed deep gratitude to Communication and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid for the trust and opportunity given during her service.

"I am very grateful for the trust and opportunity given to me to serve. This has been a deeply meaningful experience, and I feel that now is the right time to step into the next chapter of my professional journey," Raline said.

She also offered her prayers that the entire Ministry of Communication and Digital be granted smoothness and success in carrying out its mandate going forward.

Contributions Over 1 Year and 9 Months at Komdigi

During her time at the ministry, Raline was involved in various activities related to global partnerships and digital education. She helped strengthen digital literacy initiatives, digital safety and child protection in cyberspace.

One of the ministry's key agendas during her tenure was the implementation of Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic System Operation in Child Protection (PP TUNAS).

Minister Meutya Hafid expressed high appreciation for Raline's contributions. The ministry said it respects Raline's decision to continue her professional journey elsewhere, while Raline affirmed she would support the transition of responsibilities so the ministry's programs continue uninterrupted.
