Eze Capitalises After Saka Injury
Arsenal lost Bukayo Saka early at the Allianz Arena, early Thursday (22/10/2026) WIB. The England winger was forced off in the 10th minute with a non-contact left quad injury, and his replacement — Eberechi Eze — opened the scoring instead.
In the 25th minute, Eze stayed onside to meet Martin Ødegaard's measured long pass with a volley into the far corner past Manuel Neuer. The Gunners held the lead until ten minutes before half-time, when Alphonso Davies levelled on a swift counter-attack from Harry Kane's through ball.

Kane Penalty Cancelled Out by Rice
Bayern turned the game around in the 61st minute. The referee pointed to the spot after Kane's shot struck Jurriën Timber's hand, and Kane converted calmly — his 10th consecutive Champions League match with a goal.
Arsenal refused to lose. In the 82nd minute, Declan Rice burst into the box to meet Viktor Gyökeres' flick and fired a low drive into the far corner. The 2-2 scoreline held until full time, extending Arsenal's unbeaten run to 15 straight league-phase matches — including the whole of last season.
Bayern's Home Record Survives
The draw keeps both sides unbeaten in this season's league phase. Bayern also preserved a remarkable record: 39 home matches unbeaten in the Champions League group/league phase since 2013.
For Arsenal, a point in Bavaria is a confidence boost. Last season's finalists took the lead first and then came from behind through Rice's late strike, though they paid a price with Saka's injury awaiting further assessment.
