Three Days of Odd-Even at All Stations

The Bali provincial government together with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is enforcing an odd-even system for Pertalite fueling at all gas stations across Bali from Saturday (10/17/2026) to Monday (10/19/2026). The three-day policy is a response to fuel supply disruptions on the island.

The rule is set out in Bali Governor's Letter No. B.21.500.1/16673/V/DISNAKER.ESDM dated October 16, 2026. On day one, Saturday October 17, vehicles with odd-numbered plates take their turn; Sunday October 18 is for even plates, and Monday October 19 returns to odd plates.

The policy emerged from a coordination meeting between Bali Governor Wayan Koster, Pertamina's president director, and Pertamina Patra Niaga's president director held Thursday (10/15) at 11:00 PM WITA into early Friday morning.

20-Liter Limit and Emergency Priority

Beyond odd-even, purchases are capped at 20 liters for four-wheeled vehicles and 3 liters for two-wheelers per fill. The volume limits apply until supply returns to normal. Refills are permitted only after at least 70 percent of the previous purchase has been consumed.

The governor's letter also sets refueling priorities: ambulances and fire trucks get faster access, while freight trucks may only refuel at night. This keeps emergency services running while rationing subsidized fuel fairly.

The Bali government also asked regents and mayors to form subsidized-fuel monitoring task forces. The task forces will check abuses such as modified tanks, illegal plates, and repeated refueling.

48 Million Liters Stock and 66 Stations Open 24 Hours

To speed recovery, Pertamina prepared 66 gas stations operating 24 hours — 42 in Denpasar and 24 in Badung regency. Bali's fuel stock is targeted to reach 48 million liters by Saturday at the Manggis and Sanggaran terminals, enough for 14-15 days of consumption.

Pertamina also added 16 tanker trucks to smooth supply to stations. The company said it received support from 100 TNI personnel of Kodam IX/Udayana serving as nighttime station operators, plus Bali Police patrol escorts for tanker movements.

Pertamina urged the public to stay calm and buy fuel as needed. Station service information in Bali can be followed via the official Instagram accounts @patraniaga.jatimbalinus and @pertaminabali.
