Eight Locations Searched Over Five Days
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched eight locations across Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Bekasi from October 15 to 19, 2026, as part of an investigation into alleged corruption involving ready-to-use funds (DSP) at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). One of the raided sites was the BNPB office on Jalan Pramuka, East Jakarta, on Thursday (10/15).
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the marathon series of searches targeted houses, offices, and several other locations suspected of being connected to the case. However, as of Tuesday (10/20), the KPK has not detailed the value of the seized cash and jewelry nor the identities of their owners.
"Moving forward, investigators will analyze the evidence and request statements from the involved parties to clarify the seized items," Budi said in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/20/2026).

Documents to Three Cars Confiscated
"From the searches conducted across these locations, investigators confiscated documents, electronic evidence, cash, jewelry, and three cars suspected to be related to the ongoing investigation," Budi noted.
This confiscation complements evidence previously secured by the KPK during a sting operation (OTT) on October 13, 2026. On October 16, 2026, the KPK announced it had seized assets worth IDR 5.47 billion—consisting of IDR 3.35 billion in cash, foreign currencies, 56 gold bars (133 grams) worth IDR 315.8 million, gold savings (192 grams) worth IDR 452 million, and crypto assets valued at approximately IDR 1.1 billion.
According to the KPK, all confiscated items are currently being processed by investigators to support the inquiry. The KPK has not yet revealed whether the cash and jewelry seized this week belong to the suspects or to other parties.
Five Suspects Named
The investigation follows the KPK's sting operation on October 13, 2026, which apprehended 15 individuals. The KPK has named five suspects: Bima Setiawan (expert staff to the Head of BNPB and younger brother of the former Head of BNPB), Richard Erlangga (expert staff to the Head of BNPB), Gabriel Purwaka Sigit (head and commitment-making official at BNPB's Subdirectorate for Emergency Aid and Fund Management), and two private sector individuals, Gery Prasetiawan and Syifa Nrika Ghifarin.
Earlier, the KPK also searched several BNPB officials' offices on October 14–15, 2026, including that of former BNPB Head Lt. Gen. Suharyanto.
BNPB's ready-to-use funds are intended for disaster mitigation such as forest and land fires, floods, and earthquakes. The KPK affirmed that the investigation will continue to develop as the seized evidence is analyzed.
