UHT Milk Suspected as the Trigger

The MBG package served that day consisted of rice, fried egg, carrots and corn, vegetables, and ultra-high-temperature (UHT) milk. Initial suspicions point to the UHT milk as the trigger for the poisoning. The Head of SPPG (Nutrition Service Provision Unit) Bogor Cisarua Leuwimalang 01, Fima Aditya Nugraha, who arrived on site around 08:40 WIB, found several damaged UHT milk cartons deemed unfit for consumption.

The exact cause of the poisoning is still pending laboratory test results from the Bogor Regency Health Office Laboratory (Labkesda - Regional Health Laboratory). Food samples have been collected, and the examination results are expected in at least 3x24 hours.

Most Victims Have Returned Home

Symptomatic students were evacuated via ambulance to Goenawan Partowidigdo Pulmonary Hospital (RSPG) in Cibeureum, Cisarua. Most of the victims were discharged in stages after receiving symptom-specific treatment, including intravenous fluids for those who were dehydrated.

"Treated according to the symptoms that arose. ... out of those 103, only one is indicated for hospitalization," said the Head of the Bogor Regency Health Office, Fusia Meidiawaty.

Medical teams are also conducting follow-up monitoring to ensure no patients experience secondary or recurring symptoms after returning home.

Urgent Calls for a Total Evaluation of MBG Food Safety

Cisarua Sector Police Chief (Kapolsek), Police Commissioner Adjutant (AKP) Budi Suratman, confirmed the suspected poisoning incident. Meanwhile, the Greater Bogor Student Executive Board Alumni Forum (FABEM) urged a total evaluation of the MBG program's food safety system to prevent similar occurrences.

"If damaged products were indeed distributed in the MBG supply chain, the question is how the food safety oversight system has been conducted all this time," stated Greater Bogor FABEM Coordinator Yogi Ariananda. He also called on the Health Office to take more proactive preventive measures.
