Inaugurated at the 2026 TPAKD National Coordination Meeting

President Prabowo Subianto officially launched the National Financial Welfare Council (DNKK - Dewan Nasional Kesejahteraan Keuangan) during the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (Rakornas TPAKD - Rapat Koordinasi Nasional Tim Percepatan Akses Keuangan Daerah) at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (10/22/2026).

The launch was marked by the sounding of a siren alongside Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Chairwoman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK - Otoritas Jasa Keuangan) Friderica Widyasari Dewi, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, and Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti. 'I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the National Financial Welfare Council,' said Prabowo.

Shifting: From Bank Accounts to Family Well-Being

DNKK is a transformation of the National Inclusive Finance Council (DNKI - Dewan Nasional Keuangan Inklusif) under Presidential Regulation Number 42 of 2026. This name change is not merely cosmetic: the government is expanding its focus from simply promoting financial inclusion, such as account ownership, to improving financial well-being at the family level.

'So when we talk about macroeconomic policy launched by the president here, it is family by family; the smallest economic unit in our society is the family economy,' Airlangga stated. Under this logic, the metric of success no longer stops at how many citizens hold a bank account, but rather whether financial access truly makes families more prosperous.

Led Directly by the President

DNKK is under the direct leadership of President Prabowo. Airlangga Hartarto serves as executive chairman, supported by four executive vice chairpersons: OJK Head Friderica Widyasari Dewi, Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti, Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, and Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara. Several other ministers serve as council members.

Friderica stated that the establishment of DNKK follows up on the President's directive to ensure the Indonesian public has the opportunity to improve the welfare of themselves and their families. 'This council will further ensure that every Indonesian has the right to improve their well-being and that of their family,' she remarked.

IDR 53.15 Trillion for 2.1 Million Debtors

The 2026 Rakornas TPAKD, which served as the stage for DNKK's launch, carried the theme 'Accelerating Sustainable Financial Access for the Welfare of the Indonesian People' and was attended by dozens of governors, regents, and mayors from across Indonesia.

During the same event, financing agreements and credit facilities for the August to October 2026 period from 343 financial service institutions were symbolically handed over. Total financing reached IDR 53.15 trillion disbursed to 2,106,401 debtors, with representative recipients including fishermen, online motorcycle taxi drivers, coffee farmers, and merchants.
