Promoter Issues Official Haze Advisory

SINGAPORE — BIGBANG's Singapore concert promoter, AEG Presents Asia, has issued an official haze advisory ahead of the "2026-2027 World Tour XX: Cosmos" concerts eagerly awaited by fans. The advisory was posted on the promoter's social media on Thursday (15/10/2026).

The concerts are scheduled for two consecutive nights at Singapore's National Stadium, Saturday (17/10/2026) and Sunday (18/10/2026), each starting at 7:00 p.m. local time. The move follows transboundary haze from forest and land fires in the region, which has worsened over the past few weeks.

In its statement, AEG stressed that concertgoer safety and well-being are the top priority. The promoter also outlined protective steps referencing the venue's haze management policy.

PSI Hits 209, Worst Since 2015

The haze surge was driven by escalating forest fires in Kalimantan and southern Sumatra. Wind carried the thick smoke across national borders into Singapore, triggering what has been described as the worst air crisis since 2015.

Monitoring data showed PM2.5 pollutant levels spiking sharply: the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) briefly hit 209 in western Singapore — in the very unhealthy category — while the central region recorded 197.

The conditions put outdoor events at risk. The National Stadium management has a policy of suspending activities if pollution readings exceed certain thresholds. As of this writing, the concerts will proceed as scheduled, with no cancellation or postponement announced.

Guidance for Concertgoers

Organizers urged ticket holders to check the latest air quality information before heading to the venue and to plan their visit according to conditions. Fans sensitive to haze were advised to wear protective masks.

Fans were also asked to stay hydrated by bringing their own water bottles, with the restriction that bottles must not be made of glass or steel — refill stations are available inside the venue. Concertgoers were urged to minimize prolonged outdoor activities, plan their travel routes, and bring personal medication if needed.

A number of Indonesian netizens flooded the promoter's announcement comment section to apologize to the local public. Indonesia, meanwhile, is still battling fires at multiple hotspots, with President Prabowo Subianto having approved the acceptance of foreign assistance, now being discussed at the technical level with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
