Reported to Polda Metro Jaya

Presenter Ruben Onsu has been reported to Polda Metro Jaya (the Jakarta Metropolitan Police) on Thursday (10/15/2026) over alleged same-sex molestation of several people. The news first broke through a Grid.ID report that other media later picked up.

The complainants' lawyer, Muhammad Febi Faisal, confirmed that the report was filed with Polda Metro Jaya on October 15, 2026. He stressed that the victims had only recently realized that what they experienced allegedly constituted sexual harassment. "Why only now? The victims have only just realized that they were sexually harassed by someone with the initials RO," Febi said, as quoted from the YouTube channel Cumi-cumi on Thursday (10/15/2026).

The initials RO refer to the initials used in media coverage of the report. Police have not yet issued any official statement on the follow-up investigation into the report.

2024 Incidents, 2–3 Victims

Febi explained that the alleged incidents took place in 2024, but the report was only filed more than two years later. The delay, he said, was tied to the victims' late realization of the alleged acts they had experienced.

According to Febi, the victims are ordinary members of the public. He also described an alleged pattern in which the incidents were disguised as interactive friendly relationships.

Another lawyer for the complainants, Endi Saptadi Haryanto, said there are currently two to three victims. "The evidence includes videos, photos, and some chat records, more or less like that," Endi said. He claimed the evidence has been handed over to Polda Metro Jaya investigators.

Information about the alleged incidents still comes entirely from the complainants' side and has not been independently verified.

Ruben's Mounting Legal Troubles

This report adds to a growing list of legal problems involving Ruben Onsu's name over the past month. Previously, Ruben had been on the complainant side in three reports to Polda Metro Jaya concerning his viral video call with a man that was uploaded by Sarwendah.

The three reports Ruben filed covered alleged illegal access to Betrand Peto's email in the early hours of October 11, alleged defamation on October 11 at 3:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), and a report against Artos alias AA and F alias Y filed on October 13 in the early hours under police report number LP/7671/X/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA (LP stands for Laporan Polisi, or Police Report) over alleged unauthorized distribution of recordings, citing Articles 258 and 259 of the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law.

Meanwhile, Ruben was also removed as brand ambassador of the umrah travel agency Hamdan Tour, which had commented on the artist's private life.

As of publication, neither Ruben Onsu nor his lawyer, Minola Sebayang, had responded to the alleged molestation report. Stateline MEDIA applies the presumption of innocence and will update this case following official police proceedings.
