His family confirmed his passing in a statement posted on the singer's verified social media accounts on Wednesday (14/10/2026), saying he died in the early hours of October 14, 2026, at the age of 41.
In the statement, the family described Toluwanisings as a dearly loved husband, family member, and gospel minister. They asked the public, friends, and the Christian community to pray for his wife and loved ones during this difficult time. Known for Energetic Praise Songs
Toluwanisings was widely known for songs such as Eleda, I'm Not Alone, A Very Big God, and Unreserved Praise. He was synonymous with energetic praise performances, a distinctive voice, and messages of gratitude and faith that touched many contemporary gospel listeners.
He leaves behind a wife and children, along with a body of gospel recordings as his legacy. In July 2026, Toluwanisings survived a road accident while returning from a gospel ministration with his team, which he shared himself on social media with gratitude.
Outpouring of Tributes and Aide's Claim
News of his passing triggered an outpouring of tributes on social media. Comedian and gospel entertainer Ayo Ajewole, known as Woli Agba, called Toluwanisings' passing a sunset at midday and described his unique voice as a painful loss. Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie and lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi also expressed their condolences.
Meanwhile, the singer's aide named Gbolabo claimed Toluwanisings was rushed from one hospital to another in Ibadan before his death, citing around seven to eight facilities. The claim has not been independently verified, and the family has not linked the death to any specific cause, so the public is advised to wait for the family's official statement.
