Ethics Hearing at BGN's Central SDMO Bureau
Rahman, head of BGN's Human Resources and Organization Bureau (SDMO), said the action against the Purwakarta SPPG Regional Coordinator follows the agency's internal investigation. The civil-service ethics hearing will be held at BGN's central SDMO Bureau in accordance with applicable regulations.
“As a follow-up to the investigation, the individual serving as Purwakarta Regional Coordinator will be processed through a civil-service ethics hearing at BGN's central SDMO Bureau in accordance with the applicable regulations,” Rahman said in a statement on Saturday (10/17/2026).
Rahman stressed that all personnel implementing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program must uphold professionalism, discipline, and integrity. Disputes between individuals, he said, must never be settled with violence, especially in the workplace.

Chronology of the Viral Whipping Video at KPPG Bogor
The case came to light after video footage showing a man being whipped with a hose-like object in a room at the KPPG Bogor office circulated widely on social media. KPPG Bogor head Haidir said the incident took place on Wednesday (10/14/2026) at around 3:00 PM local time.
In the recording, the man holding the hose can be heard taunting, “Come fight, come fight here.” BGN spokesperson Tysa Novenny revealed that the KPPG Bogor head and the head of the administration subdivision were in the office when the dispute broke out and tried to break up the two parties.
Bogor City Police previously identified those involved: the alleged perpetrator is Purwakarta SPPG Regional Coordinator with the initials GD, while the victim is the Head of Purwakarta SPPG with the initials RAN. Haidir said both personnel have been severely reprimanded and his office is coordinating with BGN leadership in Jakarta on further sanctions.
Reconciled, but Legal Process Moves On
Ketut Sumedana, BGN Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision, revealed the trigger was a dispute between the two men. “There was a dispute between the two,” Ketut said when contacted on Friday (10/16/2026). He noted both sides had actually reconciled and forgiven each other.
BGN nevertheless insists the legal process must proceed, as the incident is deemed to have tarnished the institution's reputation. Ketut assured the perpetrator will definitely face sanctions and that the agency does not tolerate violence, although the form of sanction remains the leadership's prerogative.
Dita Aditya, chair of the Ansor Legal Aid Institute (LBH) in Bogor City, strongly condemned the incident. In his view, no dispute can ever justify physical violence in the workplace.
