65.4 Percent Satisfied, 32.5 Percent Dissatisfied
As many as 65.4 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction with the performance of President Prabowo Subianto's government, according to the latest national survey by Parameter Politik Indonesia (PPI). The figure combines respondents who said they were very satisfied and satisfied.
PPI Executive Director Adi Prayitno presented the survey results virtually on Sunday (10/18/2026). He said around 32.5 percent of respondents were dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with the government's overall performance, while 2.1 percent gave no answer or said they did not know.
"Combining those who are very satisfied with those who are satisfied, the total is 65.4 percent. Meanwhile, around 32.5 percent said they were dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with the government's overall performance," said Adi Prayitno.
The survey was conducted from September 26 to October 6, 2026, interviewing 1,200 respondents across 38 provinces. Sampling used multistage random sampling through face-to-face interviews, with a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of about 2.83 percent.
Social Aid and Law Enforcement Drive Satisfaction
PPI also captured the reasons behind respondents' assessments. Most of those who were satisfied cited expanding social assistance as the main reason, at 16.7 percent. This was followed by law enforcement against corruptors at 10.3 percent, the Sekolah Rakyat (People's School) program at 9.8 percent, and the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, deemed to be improving, at 8.5 percent.
On the other hand, most of those who were dissatisfied cited a difficult and declining economy as the main reason, at 11.8 percent. This was followed by mistargeted social assistance (11.4 percent), expensive basic necessities (10.4 percent), and the perception that the government pays too little attention to ordinary people (6.7 percent).
For the assessment of President Prabowo Subianto personally, the survey recorded a satisfaction level of 65.2 percent — consisting of 62.3 percent who said they were satisfied and 2.9 percent who were very satisfied — while 28.1 percent said they were dissatisfied.
Amran Sulaiman, Teddy, and Erick Thohir Rated Best
The survey, titled "Evaluation of 2 Years of the Prabowo-Gibran Administration," also asked which officials were deemed to perform best. Three names topped the list: Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir.
Geographically, the highest satisfaction with President Prabowo's performance was recorded in Kalimantan and Sulawesi at 81.3 percent. Next came Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and Eastern Indonesia at 70.9 percent; Banten, Jakarta, and West Java at 65.5 percent; Sumatra at 63.1 percent; and Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta at 57.6 percent.
In general, respondents outside Java (70.1 percent) and people living in rural areas (70.2 percent) formed the largest bases expressing satisfaction with the way the government is currently running.
