Rp400 Trillion Credit Target for 28 Million Families

President Prabowo Subianto is targeting credit disbursement of up to Rp400 trillion to farmers, fishermen, village communities, remote and underdeveloped areas, MSME players, as well as low-income urban residents. The program targets approximately 28 million families, or around 100 million people, across Indonesia.

The target was conveyed by Prabowo at the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (Rakornas TPAKD) at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday (22/10/2026). He emphasized that the credit must truly reach ordinary people so that productive economic activities continue to move and welfare improves.

"In the coming year, God willing, our target will be realized. I want to channel Rp 400 trillion to farmers, fishermen, and those in rural areas and remote and underdeveloped regions," Prabowo said.

New Realization Rp53.15 Trillion

Prabowo appreciates the progress of credit distribution that has been carried out. According to him, the productive financing program has reached around 2 million beneficiaries with a total disbursement value of Rp53 trillion.

At the same event, a symbolic handover of productive financing contracts and credits for the August-October 2026 period was carried out by 343 financial services institutions. Total financing reached Rp53.15 trillion, channeled to 2.1 million debtors, or precisely 2,106,401 debtors.

The symbolic handover was given to community representatives from various sectors, including fishermen, ride-hailing drivers, coffee farmers, and traders.

KUR Scheme and Agricultural Machinery Credit

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto explained that the Rp400 trillion credit disbursement will be carried out through several schemes, one of which is People's Business Credit (KUR) and credit for agricultural tools and machinery (alsintan).

"We can have a KUR scheme and others, it's just a matter of setting the interest rate level," said Airlangga at his office in Jakarta on Thursday (22/10/2026). The government will adjust the interest rate level to keep financing affordable for the people.

Prabowo stressed that the nation's economic strength must be genuinely felt by farmers, fishermen, traders, and MSME players. He emphasized that welfare must not remain a mere slogan; the people's income must truly increase.

Context: DNKK Officially Formed

At the same TPAKD National Coordination Meeting, Prabowo also inaugurated the National Council for Financial Welfare (DNKK), a transformation of the National Council for Financial Inclusion based on Presidential Regulation Number 42 of 2026. This council operates directly under the President, with Airlangga serving as daily chair.

The 2026 TPAKD National Coordination Meeting adopted the theme "Accelerating Sustainable Financial Access for the Welfare of the Indonesian People" and was attended by dozens of governors, regents, and mayors from across Indonesia.
