Strongest Food Security in History and Free Meals for 62 Million
Cabinet Secretary (Seskab - Sekretaris Kabinet) Teddy Indra Wijaya outlined the two-year achievements of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's administration on Tuesday (10/20/2026). Various priority programs were stated to have delivered tangible benefits to people across the country.
In the food sector, the government claims to have achieved self-sufficiency in eight food commodities, with national food reserves reaching 5.2 million tons—the highest in history. Meanwhile, the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG - Program Makan Bergizi Gratis) now reaches 62 million beneficiaries, including toddlers, school children, as well as pregnant and lactating mothers.
In education, the Cabinet Secretary noted that 265 People's Schools (Sekolah Rakyat) have been established, 43,000 street children have returned to school, and 30,000 schools have been renovated. The government also distributed 288,180 interactive screens, increased honorary teacher incentives by 30 percent, and prepared the conversion of 240,000 part-time PPPK (Government Employees with Work Agreements) teachers to full-time status without exams starting in January 2027. A national internship program for 250,000 participants with minimum-wage-equivalent stipends is also underway.

Health to Infrastructure: 108 Million Free Health Checkups
The health sector recorded 108 million Free Health Checkup (CKG - Cek Kesehatan Gratis) services and the construction of 22 new hospitals. In housing, 400,000 homes were renovated and 100 Red and White Fishing Villages (Kampung Nelayan Merah Putih) were built.
Infrastructure development covers more than 9,000 kilometers of irrigation, 3,500 bridges, 2,228 kilometers of Inpres (Presidential Instruction) roads, 3,000 bore water points, and 17 FIFA-standard stadiums.
In energy and downstream processing, the government has fully implemented B50 biodiesel and conducted groundbreakings for 26 downstream projects, including the largest electric vehicle battery ecosystem in Southeast Asia. The national Bullion Bank (Bank Emas) is reported to manage 153 tons of gold worth approximately Rp360 trillion.
Rp3,923 Trillion Investment and BLBI Debt Settlement
From a macroeconomic perspective, realized investment reached Rp3,923 trillion, absorbing 5,485,944 workers. The government also claimed the recovery of state assets worth more than Rp54.8 trillion and the settlement of Rp218.3 trillion in BLBI (Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance) bond debts.
The closure of unproductive SOEs (BUMN - State-Owned Enterprises) is reported to save around Rp50 trillion per year in budget spending. Several portals reported 290 SOEs closed, though some wrote 2,900—this discrepancy is suspected to stem from a typographical error and requires further verification.
"In the first two years of President Prabowo Subianto's administration, priority programs and development continue to run to bring real benefits to people across the nation," Teddy stated in his official release.
Delivered via Video and Written Statement
The presentation of these milestones was delivered by the Cabinet Secretary through a written statement and a video entitled 'The First 2 Years of Real Action for the Nation' uploaded to the official Presidential Secretariat account, rather than via a physical press conference.
In the video, President Prabowo emphasized that the government's work is far from over. "Only if we are able to safeguard and manage all of our wealth properly can we provide service to our people," he said.
"Our ambitions are greater, our work is still plentiful, and the journey of our struggle is still long," Prabowo asserted. Seskab Teddy concluded: "The first 2 years have passed; real action and dedication continue toward realizing a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia."
