Second in a row at Jinnam Gymnasium
Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi and Hyundai E&C Hillstate were officially removed from the KOVO Cup 2026 after a 0-3 (23-25, 15-25, 22-25) defeat from GS Caltex Kixx in the last match of Group B, Friday (16/10/2026), at Jinnam Gymnasium, Yeosu, South Korea. This defeat was the second in a row after Hillstate also lost 0-3 from Hi-Pass in Megawati’s 14 point debut.
Hillstate did not win a single set in two group matches. This result made Kang Seong-hyung the key player of Group B and failed to advance to the semi-finals. GS Caltex and Hi-Pass became two teams advancing to the next round.

Megawati 15 points, exploded in the third set
Individual, Megawati performed sharper than his debut match. Opposite hitter from Indonesia scored 15 points: 5 points in the first set with an attack success rate of 50 percent, then rose with 10 points in the third set with an attack accuracy of 56,25 percent.
In the second set, Megawati was pulled to the reserve bench, followed by setter Kim Da-in who was rested by the end of the set. Middle blocker Kim Hee-jin contributed 8 points, including 2 blocks and 1 service ace, while another foreign player, Jordan Wilson from the United States, was also dropped.
Coach Kang Seong-hyung
Coach Kang Seong-hyung regretted his short trip to the tournament. "It ended with just two games. I want to have more time to bring the team together," Kang told MyDaily via Infozone.
He also gave a positive assessment of the development of Megawati. "For Mega, the attack connection (toss) started better from the third set," he said.
New team to V-League
Kim Da-in has just returned from the Korean national team, while Megawati and Jordan Wilson have been training together for about two weeks since October 11.
The KOVO Cup is a pre-season tournament before the V-League which began at the end of October. GS Caltex, the champion of the Korean Volleyball League last season, proved his class by advancing to the semi-finals and then to the final.
