Fund Flows Disclosed
Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed a pattern of alleged fund flows received by Klaten Regent Hamenang Wajar Ismoyo, presented by Acting KPK Investigation Director Achmad Taufik Husein at a press conference at the KPK's Red-and-White Building in Jakarta on Friday (16/10/2026) night.
Most notably, Hamenang allegedly received IDR 245 million from a sand-and-stone (galian C) miners' association chaired by businessman LEG in 2026, delivered through Hanaku Agni Sadewo, Hamenang's younger brother. The KPK also uncovered alleged routine payments of IDR 2.08 billion during Hamenang's tenure since 2025 — IDR 1.8 billion from officials and regional state-owned enterprises, plus IDR 280 million from wage-levy deductions at the Klaten Finance Agency (BPKPAD).
SOE Payments and NGO Money
Four entities were named as sources of monthly payments: the Tirta Merapi Klaten Water Utility at IDR 30 million per month, PT Aneka Usaha at IDR 15–20 million per month, PT BPR Bank Klaten at IDR 30 million per month, and Bagas Waras Regional Hospital at IDR 15–20 million per month — totaling roughly IDR 90–100 million each month.
The KPK also identified alleged payments of IDR 2 billion per month from galian C miners to the NGO Lindu Aji. "On this finding, the KPK will coordinate with the law enforcement authorities, in this case the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency," Taufik said.
Separately, Hamenang allegedly received IDR 1.9 billion from Muhammad Amin Wahyu Utomo (PT Madani Winasis Creative) through Rizqan Iryawan, which the KPK says was used for personal purposes including repaying his 2024 Pilkada election debts.
The AMIDIS Code and Three Suspects
The KPK also revealed an alleged IDR 600 million demand by Central Java BPK Representative Head Ahmad Luthfi H. Rahmatullah to manipulate the audit of Klaten's 2025 regional financial statements — negotiated down to IDR 400 million under the preparation code 'AMIDIS'.
In total, the KPK identified five alleged corruption clusters: goods and services procurement, licensing, wage levies, payments from regional government agencies, and payments to the BPK to manipulate audit results.
The KPK has named three suspects following a sting operation on 15/10/2026: Hamenang, Ahmad Luthfi, and Muhammad Amin Wahyu Utomo. All allegations must still be proven through the legal process; suspect status does not in itself establish guilt.
