Fenny Frans Viral accused of insulting lawyers
TikTok’s live broadcast footage featuring Fenny Frans, a Makassar-born skincare owner with the brand FF Cosmetic, viral on social media and sparked widespread criticism. In the footage, Fenny Frans allegedly spoke flamboyantly challenging and degrading the profession of journalists and lawyers, including the use of terms deemed inappropriate.
The live recording took place on Tuesday night (13/10/2026) at a shop in the Pioneer Road area of Independence, Makassar, as media crews interviewed a woman named Amriana. Though the full context of the speech still needs to be verified, the statement raises fundamental questions about the ethics of communicating a public figure in the digital space.

Sullivan calls on police to search
The Director of the South Sulawesi Advocacy and Anti-Corruption Research Center (PUKAT), Farid Mamma, S.H., M.H., condemned the alleged statements made by Fenny Frans and deemed to humiliate the profession of journalists and lawyers.
Farid highlighted the use of the terms mentioned in the statement and questioned the context and purpose. “If there is a question with someone, please ask him. Don’t let the profession of journalists and lawyers be lowered,” he said.
Lawyers and lawyers are ready to go to law.
The Association of Journalists Nusantara (AJUN) took the toughest stance by leading the alliance of professional organizations — including the Indonesian Muslim Lawyers’ Association (PERADMI) and the Sulsel PUKAT — to drag Fenny Frans to the responsible party. The General Chief of the PRADMI Dr. Muhammad Nur stated that AJUN will not tolerate any form of intimidation and humiliation against the journalist’s profession, and will report Fenny Frans to the police on alleged criminal acts of humiliation and pollution of the good name against the press and lawyer institutions.
In the meantime, legal expert Prof. Dr. Sutan Nasomal assessed the clarification delivered by Fenny Frans’ husband, Mursalim Dg Sila, has not fully answered the core objections among press people and legal practitioners, and tends to divert attention from the subject matter. So far there has been no official statement nor direct clarification from Fenny Frans himself. The public hopes this case will be a lesson that freedom of expression should be accompanied by responsibility, both in the real world and in the virtual world.
