10-Year Sentence Demand and Military Dismissal
JAKARTA — Connectivity prosecutors demanded a 10-year prison sentence for Lt. Gen. TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) Widi Prasetijono in an alleged corruption case involving the purchase and sale of land belonging to a BUMD (Regional-Owned Enterprise) in Cilacap Regency, Central Java. In addition to physical imprisonment, prosecutors also sought a fine of Rp500 million subsidiary to 140 days in prison, along with an additional punishment of dismissal from military service.
The sentencing demand was read out by Connectivity Public Prosecutor Bambang Yunianto during a connectivity trial at the Jakarta Military High Court II on Thursday (10/22/2026). A connectivity trial is a joint proceeding between military and general courts held when a criminal case involves defendants from both military and civilian backgrounds. The prosecutor requested that the prison term be reduced by time served under temporary detention, with an order that the defendant remain detained. 'A prison sentence of 10 years reduced by temporary detention with an order that the defendant remain detained and fined Rp500 million subsidiary to 140 days in prison,' the public prosecutor stated during the reading of the sentence demand.
Three Other Defendants Face Sentencing Demands
In the same case, prosecutors also sought sentences for three other defendants, read out during the same trial session. Colonel Chk (Military Law Corps) Syaiful Nursaid, who serves as Head of Legal Affairs for Kodam (Military Regional Command) IV/Diponegoro, was demanded to serve 6 years in prison, pay a fine of Rp500 million, and face an additional sentence of dismissal from military service.
Infantry Colonel Wisnu Kurniawan, former Assistant for Planning of Kodam IV/Diponegoro, was demanded to serve 4 years in prison with a fine of Rp500 million and an additional penalty of dismissal from military service. Meanwhile, Suko Madyo Susilo, the sole civilian defendant and former Operational Director of PT Rumpun Sari Antan, was demanded to serve 3 years in prison and pay a fine of Rp250 million.
According to reporting from both media outlets, the sentencing demands for each defendant were prepared considering aggravating and mitigating factors, although details of these considerations were not made public.
Defense Plea Scheduled for November 2
Widi Prasetijono is a former Commander of Kodam IV/Diponegoro and previously served as an aide to President Joko Widodo. He is on trial alongside the TNI officers and one civilian defendant over alleged corruption in the procurement of BUMD land in Cilacap. Neither the SINDOnews nor Okezone articles detailed the amount of state financial losses in this case.
If the panel of judges grants the prosecutor's demands, Widi will lose his status as an active TNI soldier through the additional sanction of dismissal, in addition to serving his prison sentence. The next court session is scheduled for November 2, 2026, with an agenda for the defense plea (pleidoi). Responses from the defendants and their legal counsel team regarding the prosecutor's sentencing demands have not yet appeared in reports by either media outlet.
